ABOUT
The Young Mums Support Network (YMSN ) is a community interest company set up by young mothers who believe in breaking the negative cycle for a new generation by empowering young women to become positive, influential females in today's society.
Our Target Group
YMSN targets teenage girls and young women from deprived communities and engages them with positive tools and activities with the aim of steering them towards a proactive, optimistic lifestyle. We offer a personal development service to young women, young mothers and high risk teenagers based in the South London Boroughs of Lambeth and Southwark aged predominantly between 16-25 years.
Our Aims
We aim to provide holistic support through be-spoke or pre-developed self-development programmes.
Our programmes aim to:
provide platforms for personal development to change cycles of poverty, depression, teenage pregnancy and social exclusion by tackling the underlying causes and issues such low self-esteem and awareness of places to get help.
Establish key building blocks to promote self-love, respect and confidence and empower young women to make informed decisions about their life and relationships. `
Connect the experience of young women and provide dialogue through workshops to help young women identify and remove any obstacles in their journey to achieving their aspirations.
